What happened during The Noise 2023?

For us, it's not about the figures. But we do know that seeing them plays a part in helping us see what happened and helping you know you were part of something bigger!

We had over 650 volunteers from 47 different churches and groups across Bristol. Volunteer ages ranged from 4 years to 80 years - it really is for everyone!

Teams of volunteers hosted 12 different events for neighbours to come and enjoy, including cream teas, pop-up cafés, family fun afternoons, BBQs, and a coronation themed afternoon tea!

Volunteers also tackled 65 different practical community projects within homes, in public spaces and a community centres or schools.

And, everything was FREE!

Check out photos from the weekend here and watch our weekend review video too!

Stories and Feedback

It's been wonderful to hear stories from the different volunteer teams and feedback from individuals who received support or connected with our community events over the weekend. We love hearing how the positive actions of volunteers participating in The Noise have a ripple effect to individuals, their families and the wider community.

“I’m so pleased with this, can you please thank them all on behalf of myself, Bristol City Council and the client who as I said is not well and really struggled to maintain their garden. Also I’m sure the neighbour next door will be absolutely delighted!!”

Dan Scott (Bristol City Council)
