Who doesn’t love a cream tea! Why not host a cream tea and invite all the senior citizens in your area? It’s a great chance to welcome your community in, eat some cake and probably hear some great local stories.

Resources

If you don’t have access to tables or crockery, you may want to speak to other local churches or community groups and see if there are any going spare.

Key requirements

  • A reasonable size hall

  • Tables, cutlery and crockery

  • Cakes, scones, jam, tea, coffee and anything else you can think to serve

  • A suitable place to prepare food
