BRISTOL CHURCHES CITY FUND LAUNCHES WINTER “COST-OF-LIVING CRISIS” GRANT

Bristol Churches City Fund (BCCF) announces the opening of its Winter Cost-of-Living Crisis Grant, offering one-off financial support of up to £2,000 for church-based organisations across Bristol that serve the city’s most vulnerable residents.

In an era of escalating pressures from energy, food, housing and rising debt burdens, many local projects are struggling to respond meaningfully to intersecting crises. BCCF’s grant scheme aims to bolster frontline work tackling issues such as fuel and food poverty, homelessness, mental health strain, loneliness, and financial hardship.

Key Details:

Application window: Monday 29 September – Monday 10 November 2025

Grant amount: Up to £2,000 per organisation

Who’s eligible: Church-based organisations in Bristol that support the most vulnerable

Focus areas:
  • Food-related support

Exclusions: The grant is not intended to cover core costs (e.g. routine heating, lighting), though additional staffing costs may be considered if clearly justified
